Dr. Val has officially joined the Chiropractic team at Icon and her schedule is open beginning April 7th! Patients are welcome to book online, or by calling the office.

Dr. Kate is now offering Dry Needling. Dry needling is a therapeutic technique that uses thin, sterile needles to release muscle tension, reduce pain, and improve mobility. By targeting trigger points and tight muscles, it helps relieve conditions like chronic pain, sports injuries, and nerve-related discomfort. Dry needling is based on modern pain science and muscle function, making it a great addition to chiropractic care for faster recovery and long-term relief.

Dr. Jamie is currently only accepting new prenatal patients and babies and children under 6. Dr. Kate and Dr. Val are accepting all new patients including adults, students, seniors and children under 6. Exisiting patients are welcome to book with any of the doctors. Same day and walk-in appointments are available with Dr. Val and Dr. Kate.

Growing up, I was an extremely active kid—a competitive gymnast and a world-level cheerleader. As I got older, this passion evolved into a love for rock climbing, ice climbing, and hiking. Through these sports, I’ve experienced my fair share of injuries, which ultimately led me to discover chiropractic care and its incredible impact. This journey sparked my passion for helping others realize just how strong and resilient the human body can be.

I began my academic journey at MacEwan University, studying Physical Anthropology and Archaeology. While I loved the field, I knew I wanted a career that combined healthcare with helping people reach their goals. This led me to Portland, Oregon, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Biology alongside my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at the University of Western States (UWS).

In my clinical practice, I incorporate a variety of techniques, including diversified (hands-on) chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapies, dry needling/clinical acupuncture, and rehabilitative exercises. I have a special interest in treating complex, chronic, and long-standing neurological conditions—such as disc-related issues, sciatic pain, and pinched nerves—using the McKenzie Method.

I’m passionate about empowering my patients by helping them embrace their strengths and overcome limitations. Through evidence-based education and personalized treatment plans, I strive to address injuries at their root cause and promote long-term recovery.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll likely find me on a mountain adventure with my husband or curled up with a good book and my dog. Looking forward to seeing you in the office!

Here in the clinic I utilize diversified spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, modern techniques and rehabilitative exercises.

Outside of the office I love the Edmonton Oilers, snowboarding, and all dogs no matter their fluffiness!
